Campbell Bay 03:02
Well I done a bit of wandering, done this and that done whatever I was doing wore a few different hats thinking about where im going or where im really at look at this life we're living its quite a laugh and the birds they sang and the waves they were warm on the beach lies the coals from the fire we had the night before and the people all danced the bands they played all the friends on a boat anchored down in Campbell Bay I'm trying to see the future to see what I will see trying to look all around and inside of me trying to get by with this old six string look at the life we're living with the songs we sing and the birds they sang and the waves they were warm on the beach lies the coals from the fire we had the night before and the people all danced the bands they played all the friends on a boat anchored down in Campbell Bay and the birds they sang and the waves they were warm on the beach lies the coals from the fire we had the night before and the people all danced the bands they played all the friends on a boat anchored down in Campbell Bay

Wind blowin hard, trees falling like the rain clouds overhead October to may looking to the west the waves marching in well I used to feel the sea on that Chinook wind well I don't know if I could live there for the rest of my life one thing I miss is the Alberta skies Oh out here where the old river freeze blue jays sitting in my trees long way from the rock of my boat I hear the howling of the ol' coyote well I don't know if I could live there for the rest of my life one thing I miss is the Alberta skies Alberta skies well I can't believe my eyes lets go get lost in the twilight Alberta skies I can't believe my eyes Alberta skies All the colours of the northern lights lighting up the ol' Alberta skies drifting on through the night Alberta skies Alberta skies well I can't believe my eyes lets go get lost in the twilight Alberta skies I can't believe my eyes Alberta skies

I thought I was lost in East Cleveland till I saw hot sauce Williams and I know its time to be leaving but it sure was good to stay with him now im walking down streets of gold and I leaves rattling down the street show me where to go. I saw a fence post digger by the Garfield memorial they couldn't have made it much bigger here up on the hill now im walking down streets of gold and the leaves rattling down the street show me where to go and the leaves rattling down the street show me where to go I saw a street light hanging it appeared as if in mid air now the government junkie is banging dirty boots of tenement stairs now im walking down streets of gold and the leaves rattling down the street show me where to go and the leaves rattling down the street show me where to go

Empty chest feeling like I've had too much coffee on this average November day my lines are now green the bilge near my knees and the teak turns yellow then grey this boat keeps on changing cause it keeps on raining it feels like Im changing too and no it aint a fresh coat of paint this old boat is rotten right through Sail across the ocean sail right into town I got the notion of where one could drown well the deckhead is showing signs that is moulding but the tiller still looks good and true the top sail is rotten but I just painted the bottom so what am I supposed to do white bucket bailing the bilge pump its failing im sinking without a doubt but there's more to the tail boy a sailor and his sailboat they both need to dry out Sail across the ocean sail right into town I got the notion of where one could drown

Distance 03:08
Thinking about a holiday go some place with you so far away and thinking about the time we spent apart I wonder will this life ever start wonder will this life ever start I know its distance we need and when this life never felt so free and I know that distance is doing what we please but distance don't bother me this distance don't bother me I remember when we were all smiles and you swore we'd never part I know we haven't been that way for a while you still broke my heart its hardest in the morning and the night hard to see that things just didn't turn out right headed back to the start im so low now that we're parted I'm so low now that we're parted I know its distance we need and when this life never felt so free and I know that distance is doing what we please but distance don't bother me this distance don't bother me this distance is killing me I know its distance we need and when this life never felt so free and I know that distance is doing what we please but distance don't bother me this distance don't bother me
